I have had to be hush-hush about this collab for almost a month and it has been KILLING ME! Craftey and I have teamed up to give you guys a free tutorial and a free SVG! Craftey is an awesome community where you can find free DIY’s, SVG’s and every kind of vinyl for your crafting needs (Yep, that just rhymed 😏). They are a smaller company that truly cares about their creators and customers.
What are we Creating?
In this step by step tutorial you’ll be making a permanent etching on glass with a stencil. No matter how many times you wash this baby, it’s not peeling or going away. The SVG file is of my lettering and it’s been provided for FREE! I used Oracal Oramask Stencil Film in this tutorial. It was absolutely perfect!
Life is Easier Now!
Back in high school we had to use contact paper because vinyl stencil film was not a thing. You had to use an Exacto knife and the etching cream would always get under the contact paper and ruin the design you were trying to etch. Today, we don’t have to worry about that with Oracal Oramask Stencil Film and the Cricut! I’m also going to warn you that this Etching technique is addicting! Especially since the dollar store has heaps of glass products for only a dollar (custom gifts, here we come!)
Check Out the Tutorial!
Hop on over to the tutorial on Craftey’s website to grab the SVG and get this project started! After you finish the project, don’t forget to post on social media using the hashtags #SimplyCraftey and #GetCraftey and post on Craftey’s Finished Projects so we can see what you made!
